Good Saturday morning. I have a die cut window and Adirondack chair scene card to share with you today along with a simple framed Adirondack chair scene card. The first scene was made using the new Rubbernecker Window 4 Pane, Beach Chairs, Tree Panel #2, Leaf Group, Flower Buds, Tiny Flower Buds and Small Birds.
The Double Window and Base Card Opening
- Cut two windows using white cardstock.
- Cut off the left side of one window and the right side of the second window.
- Turn the windows face down, line them up and attach them together using double stick tape.
- Cut a thin strip of cardstock and cover the double stick to secure the attached windows.
- Place the two attached windows on the card and use the inside of the windows as a template to draw cutting lines on the base.
- Cut the opening on the card base using a craft knife.
- Apply strips of mounting tape all the way around the back side of the window and set aside.
The Cloud Background and Tree Branch
- Cut a piece of white cardstock 5.00″ x 3.75″.
- Create a cloud background using a cloud stencil, Tumbled Glass ink and an ink blending tool.
- Cut the tree panel using green cardstock, cut a main branch section off the panel and attach it to the inside opening of the card base using glossy accents.
- Attach thin strips of mounting tape all the way around the front of the cloud base and attach it over the opening on the inside of the card base.
- I believe the Papertrey designer paper I used on the card base is retired.
Complete the Die Cut Window and Adirondack Chair Scene
- Cut a beach chair and small birds using blue cardstock.
- Cut flower buds and tiny flower buds using pink cardstock.
- Cut a section of the leaf group using green cardstock.
- Form all the flowers using a tiny tipped stylus and molding pad.
- Attach the tiny flowers to the tree branch using glossy accents.
- Attach the chair to the blue card base using tiny strips of mounting tape.
- Cut the leaf group sections apart and attach them on both sides of the3 chair and window opening using glossy accents.
- Attach the larger flowers to the leaves using glossy accents.
- Attach the birds to the scene using small pieces of mounting tape.
- Finish the card by placing the window over the scene and attaching to the card base.
- Hint: I kept placing the window over the opening as I attached the chair, foliage and birds to make sure they would be seen well when the window was attached.
My second card was made using the Rectangle Combo #2, Beach Chairs, Grass, Leaf Group, Flower Buds and Small Birds.
The Framed Adirondack Chair Scene
- Cut the chair using white cardstock.
- Cut the rectangle frames using white cardstock.
- Attach the two frame sections together on the back using double stick tape.
- Attach two sections of grass to the back of the frame using double stick tape.
- Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and grass and attach it to the card base.
- Tuck the chair in behind the grass and attach it with thin strips of mounting tape.
- Cut the flower buds and birds using red cardstock.
- Form the flowers using a tiny tipped stylus and molding pad.
- Cut a leaf group using green cardstock and cut the leaf sections apart to create several branches.
- Tuck the leaf sections in behind the grass and frame and attach using glossy accents.
- Attach the flowers to the leaves using glossy accents.
- Finish the scene by attaching the birds using small pieces of mounting tape.
I hope you have been inspired by my die cut window and Adirondack chair scene cards. I had lots of fun making them. Have you checked out the Rubbernecker sale yet? The sale ends tomorrow. I sure do appreciate you coming by and I hope you have a great weekend.

GORGEOUS!!!! Kittie, your first card is STUNNING with the scene you’ve created & the shadows! (When first I glimpsed, I thought you had created a green house scene!) Either way, it is STUNNING!!!! Your second card is BEAUTIFUL TOO with the colors you’ve chosen!!! GORGEOUS WORK!!!!!!!!;)
Beautiful, love the spring time feel to them!!
I could just sit and stare at these two cards for hours! The layers and details of the dies is simply amazing. You almost feel like you could open the windows and smell the blossoms of the pink one. And the little birds look like they are really in flight! They both look like they are inviting you to sit and enjoy the surroundings.
Thank you for sharing! 🙂
