Today I’m sharing a die cut apple cart card made using the Rubbernecker Stamps Apple Cart paired with the Leaf Group, Grass #2, Small Birds and framed using the Rectangle Combo #4. The apple cart is fairly small but I wanted to use it as the main focal image of my card. I used the large white frame to fill space on the card base but created an opening small enough to create the scene.
The Frame and Grass
- Cut the frame sections using white cardstock and the grass using green cardstock.
- Turn the frame sections face down and attach each section together using double stick tape.
- Attach grass pieces to the double stick tape all the way across the lower frame opening.
- Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
The Apple Cart, Basket and Apples
- Cut the apple cart and basket using Kraft cardstock. Cut the wheel using red cardstock and color the outer wheel using a black marker.
- Apply Antique Linen and Vintage Photo ink to the cart and basket using mini applicators.
- Assemble the cart sections and attach together using glossy accents.
- Cut the apples using red cardstock and color the stems using a brown marker.
- Apple multiple apples to the back of the cart and basket using glossy accents. Allow the apples to overflow from the top of the cart. and basket.
- Tuck a few tiny green leaf buds in between the apples and attach using glossy accents.
- Apply mounting tape to the back of the apple cart and attach to the card base. Attach the basket to the frame using mounting tape.
- Cut a leaf branches using green cardstock and tuck in behind the frame top and attach using glossy accents.
- Finish by attaching one single bird in the sky and one bird to the frame using small pieces of mounting tape. Tuck a few loose apples in the grass around the cart using glossy accents.
I enjoyed making this die cut apple cart card. My grandfather had a small orchard of apple trees on our farm and the apples were delicious. The apples were not bright red but rather rough skinned green, wonderfully tart and perfect for apple pies. Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.
