Today I’m sharing a miniature paper wreath card using one of my favorite color combinations. There is something so crisp about the bright purple and green against the all white background. I thought the eyelet layer with a touch of purple showing behind it was the perfect way to add dimension and interest to the card without distracting from the wreath. I used Rubbernecker Stamps 5109D Mixable Flower Stack, Small Flowers #1, Leaf Group, Large Ivy, Nested Circles and Nested Rectangle Scallop w/ Holes.
The Card Base
- Cut the scalloped layer using white cardstock and background layer using purple cardstock.
- Apply ATG adhesive to the purple layer and attach it to the white card base.
- Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the scalloped layer and attach it to the purple layer.
The Wreath Base and Foliage
- Secure two small circle dies in place on the cutting platform with green cardstock and cut the wreath base.
- Cut several sections of the leaf group and large ivy using green cardstock.
- Use snips to cut the foliage sections apart.
- Begin attaching the foliage sections around the wreath base using glossy accents.
- Continue attaching the foliage all the way around the base until complete.
- Check out my Wreath Tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I build my paper wreath.
The Paper Flowers
- Cut three sections of the larger flowers using purple cardstock.
- Place all the flowers face down on the molding pad and form the petals using a round tipped stylus.
- Turn the flowers face up and push down in the center of each using a small tipped stylus to push the petals up.
- Attach the flower layers together using glossy accents.
- Apply glossy accents to the back of the large flowers and attach them to the wreath base.
- Attach a white pre made Nuvo Crystal Drop to the center of each large flower using glossy accents.
- Cut the small flowers using purple cardstock, form them using the tiny tipped stylus and molding pad and attach them all around the wreath using glossy accents.
- Finish by applying a good amount of glossy accents to the back of the wreath and attach to the card base.
