Christmas in July Decor Holiday Gifts

Now is the perfect time to start making your handmade decor holiday gifts.  I am always thinking of new handmade items to give to my friends and family.  Dies and stamps can be used on so many more things than just cards and scrapbook layouts.  Today I’m sharing four projects that I made and shared on my blog last holiday season.  I thought these might inspire you to get crafty and make some holiday gifts of your own.  Click on the title or pictureof each project to go back the original post for all of the step by step instructions. For your convenience you can find the products for each at the bottom of my post.

Red Truck Christmas Decor

The old vintage red truck is on trend for Christmas decor. I LOVE vintage inspired decor, so this is definitely right up my alley! It seems like everywhere you go there’s an old red truck with a Christmas tree – pillows – throws – table decor – kitchen towels – place mats and wall art. Making this snowy country farm wall hanging was lots of fun and I think it is such a perfect gift.

Cookie Bucket

A decorated cookie bucket looks so festive on your holiday dessert table.  I thought this white bucket would be so cute decorated with a bow, poinsettia, holly and berries. For my photos I loaded mine with a fresh batch of Snickerdoodle cookies.

Grapevine Wreath

I found this six inch grapevine wreath at Michaels for .49 cents and thought it would be beautiful decorated with paper poinsettias, holly and pine branches.

They are easy to make, use things you probably already have on hand and you can raid the dollar store for the glasses and tea lights making this one of those don’t-tell-anyone inexpensive but oh-so-gorgeous gifts.

Come learn how to make a wine glass light - they are easy, fun and no one will know how inexpensive this beautiful gift was to make!

I hope you have been inspired to pull out your crafting supplies and make some decor holiday gifts of your own.  Your family and friends will love them.   You may want to hop over and check out Rubbernecker ‘s Christmas in July category with all their Christmas dies, stamps and sentiments in one place.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.

  1. Good morning Kittie. I really enjoy all your cards and projects that you do. I was wondering how you created your Wine Glass Light Shade. Would you happen to have a tutorial on it? Or class?
