A CAS Slimline Nautical Card

Today I am sharing something that is a little different for me – a clean and simple slimline nautical card using one of the NEW dies from Rubbernecker. As much as those adorable sail boats are detailed with all the little bits and pieces, keeping this to just three colors and leaving the new slimline die panel pure white lets those boats really stand out.  To make this card I used the Rubbernecker Slimline OPC Circle Dash and Boats #1.

Today I am sharing a CAS slimline nautical card using one of the new dies from Rubbernecker - come see the details!

Card Base and Slimline Solid and Insert Die

  • Cut the 3.50″ x 8.50″ card base using white cardstock and score lengthwise at 3.50″.
  • Use red cardstock to cut a 3.25″ x 8.25″ rectangle layer and attach to the card base using ATG adhesive.
  • Cut the OPC slimline using white cardstock.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the slimline and attach it to the card base.
  • Apply ATG adhesive to the negative circle cut outs and replace them inside the circle frames and attach to the card base.

A slimline nautical card like this is the perfect thing to send to someone to celebrate the summer - come see how I made it!

The Sailboats

  • Cut the sailboats using red, white and blue cardstock.
  • Mix and match the sailboat pieces and attach them together using glossy accents.
  • Apply pieces of mounting to the back of the boat and sail sections and attach them inside the circle frames.

I kept the colors for this slimline nautical card to just three to keep it crisp and summery - come check it out!
