I love coffee! Do you love coffee? Or know someone who loves coffee? This card is PERFECT to send to people who share your love of that dark delicious brew and you can make those adorable cups in just about ANY color, style, pattern or design you can think of. The Rubbernecker team is celebrating National Coffee Day 2020 and is taking part in the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop. You can find all the details about the hop and see lots of beautiful cards over on the Rubbernecker Blog.
To make my card I used the Nested Scallop with Holes, Winter Cocoa, Nested Square Scallop, Flower Stems, Tiny Flower Buds and the sentiment from Cats and Coffee.
The Card Base and Frame
- Cut an A2 sized card base using white cardstock.
- Score the card base at 4.25″.
- Stamp the sentiment using green ink.
- Cut the frame using dark pink cardstock.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach to the card base.
The Coffee Cups and Napkins
- Cut the cups using a pretty designer paper and the scallop top and base using dark pink cardstock.
- Attach the scallop top and base using glossy accents.
- Cut the flower stems using green cardstock and cut the individual leaves off the stems.
- Attach the stems to the scallop top on each mug using glossy accents.
- Use dark pink cardstock to cut the tiny flowers.
- Place the flowers face up on the molding pad and form them using a small tipped stylus.
- Attach the flowers to the leaves using glossy accents.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the cups and attach them to the card base.
- Cut the smallest scallop square die using white cardstock and score down the center.
- Fold the scallop squares in half and attach them to the cups and card base using pieces of mounting tape.
And the last thing I will say about this fun project is that you can have the “I Love Coffee” on the OUTSIDE and then inside you can write something like “but not as much as I love you”! Make a few of these cards for coffee lovers and you will always have something ready to send!
