I can’t stop making Welcome Spring cards!
I don’t know if it’s because I have the itch for the new season already or if all my new dies have me thinking about nothing else but I have been making lots of Welcome Spring cards lately and I just love sharing them with you! To make this pretty card I used the Rubbernecker Nested Rectangle Scallop with Holes, Gentian and Stems, Branches and Leaves, Garden Pots and Kittie Says Spring Time.
The Card Base and Sentiment
- Use white cardstock to cut the card base and scalloped layer.
- Cut a white strip of cardstock for the sentiment and a purple strip to layer.
- Stamp the sentiment using Nocturne ink.
- Use the scalloped die to cut the sides of both the white and purple layer.
- Attach the layers together using ATG adhesive.
- Apply ATG adhesive to the back of the sentiment layer and attach it to the card base.
The Pot and Flowers
- Use purple cardstock to cut the flowers and green cardstock to cut the foliage.
- Use yellow gold and purple cardstock to cut two garden pots.
- Cut strips off the purple garden pot to embellish the yellow pot and attach them using glossy accents.
- Assemble the flowers and stems and attach them together using glossy accents.
- Create an arrangement of flowers and foliage by attaching the pieces together using glossy accents. Note: Check out my How to Make Paper Flowers Step by Step Video to see how to to make a flower arrangement.
- Gently round the garden pot with your fingers and attach it to the arrangement using glossy accents.
- Apply a piece of mounting tape to the back of the pot and touches of glossy accents to the back of the arrangement and attach to the card base.
