A Paper Flower Bouquet Card To Make Us Think of Spring

It’s never too early to make a paper flower bouquet card to get into a Spring mood!

As much as I love making winter cards, at some point i just have to turn out a paper flower bouquet card to remind myself that Spring really WILL come! I was inspired by the pretty colors in the patterned paper I used on the background of this card and love how the almost perfectly matching die cut paper flowers pull this whole card together in such a pretty way.

Card Base and Frames

  • Use white cardstock to cut the A2 sized card base.
  • Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ piece of designer paper and attach it to the card base using ATG adhesive.
  • Use white and green cardstock to cut the two frame sections.
  • Attach the two white frames together using double stick tape.
  • Use double stick tape to attach the green frame over top of the white frame.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back borders of the frame and attach it to the card base.

Paper Flower Bouquet and Multi Loop Bow

  • Use purple cardstock to cut two sections of the Gentian and Stems and green cardstock to cut the stems.
  • Cut three sections of the Branches and Leaves using green cardstock.
  • Assemble the flower sections and attach them together using glossy accents.
  • Attach the flowers to the stems using glossy accents.  Check out my How to Make Paper Flowers Step by Step Video One to see how I assembled the flowers and stems and how I gently formed the flowers using a round stylus.
  • Begin designing the bouquet by attaching the flower stems together using glossy accents.
  • Build the bouquet stem by stem and noting the direction of the how the flowers are falling – left or right to create a natural looking bouquet.
  • Watch my Hot to Make Paper Flowers Step by Step Video Two to see how I designed and attach the flowers together to create my bouquet.  Note:  I used several different kinds of flowers for the video bouquet but the steps of building the bouquet are exactly the same.
  • Attach several of the large foliage sections to the back of the bouquet to create a green base.
  • Attach a few extra foliage stems to the bottom of the bouquet using glossy accents.
  • Apply a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the bouquet and attach it to the card base.
  • Finish by attaching a white organza bow using several glue dots.
  • Watch my Multi Loop Bow Video to see how I make my blows.  It’s much easier than you think.

  1. Love the colors! Just what I needed to chase these “winter blues” away! Today warmed up to 8F, but by Thursday, we’ll be back below zero.
Looks like I’ll be making a lot of flower bouquets in the next few days! 🙂
