Check out this lush, luxurious handmade flower bouquet card!
I am clearly already in a spring time mood, as evidenced by thus handmade flower bouquet card that just BEGGED to be made! I just absolutely love making paper flowers – it’s so easy to do with the dies I use and then just a little paper shaping and some arranging and – voila – flowers that look just as pretty as their real counterparts and ones that will last forever.
Card Base and Frame
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer of Carte Bella Flora No. 4 paper and attach it to the card base using ATG adhesive.
- Use white and pink cardstock to cut the the frame layers, place them face down and attach them together using double stick tape.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
Large Flower
- Use pink cardstock to cut one set of the Mixed Flower Stack.
- Place the flower sections face down on the molding pad and roll each individual petal with a large round stylus to curl the up.
- Turn the flower sections face up and push down in the center of each one using a small tipped stylus. Pro Tip: If you love to make paper flowers you will want to have a good set of styluses and a couple molding pads to stack for the best results.
- Start attaching the flower sections together using glossy accents making sure to offset each layer.
- Apply a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the flower and attach it to the upper corner of the card base.
- Insert your paper piercer or tweezers tip to in between the larger flower petals and push down to secure the flower in place.
Branches and Tiny Flowers for the Rest of the Handmade Flower Bouquet
- Cut the Tiny Flower Buds using yellow, pink and blue cardstock and place them face up on the molding pad.
- Form the flowers by pushing down in the center of each flower using a tiny tipped stylus.
- Use green cardstock to cut the Branches and Leaves and Leaves and Greenery.
- Attach the tiny flowers to the branches of foliage using glossy accents.
- Begin arranging the flower branches by tucking them under the large flower and attaching them in place using glossy accents.
- Fill in around the floral branches with plain branches and leaves to soften the arrangement.
