Here’s my idea for spring flower cards to make for spring occasions, including Easter!
I’ve been saving all kinds of ideas for spring flower cards to make this year and this pot full of spring blooms was just giving me huge Easter vibes. I love that I can change out this greeting for anything else and the arrangement of flowers will be perfect every time.
To create this pretty floral pot arrangement I used the Rubbernecker Large Garden Pots, Daffodils, Gentian and Stems, Canterbury and Stems and Branches and Leaves. I used the Diamond with Stitch Cover to add dimension to the card base. The Easter sentiment is from the Kittie Says Springtime set and I finished the card with two butterflies from the Small Butterflies.
Card Base, Cover and Sentiment
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base, the Diamond with Stitch Cover and a .75″ x 5.50″ strip for the sentiment.
- Apply strips of mounting tape around the outer frame borders.
- Attach small pop dots or small pieces of mounting tape to the spots where the inner strips cross over each other. Pro Tip: Placing pop dots support at each strip crossing will keep them from collapsing down on the card base.
- Remove the tape backing and attach the cover to the card base. Pro Tip: Apply a couple pieces of masking tape to the card base to hold it straight for attaching the cover.
- Secure the white strip and the Kittie Says Springtime sentiment stamp in the MISTI and stamp it using Nocturne ink.
- Cut a 1.00″ x 5.50″ of pink cardstock and use double stick tape to attach it to the sentiment layer.
- Apply double stick tape to the sentiment layer and attach it to the cover.
Garden Pot and Bouquet
- Use pink cardstock to cut the Large Garden Pot and dish sections.
- Attach the dish to the bottom of the garden pot using rolled up double stick tape and set aside.
- Cut the Daffodils, Gentians and Canterbury Bells using yellow, pink and purple cardstock.
- Use green cardstock to cut the flower stems and the Branches and Leaves.
- Apply light shades of color to the flowers using Color Fuse inks and mini applicators.
- Attach the flowers to the stems using glossy accents.
- Arrange and attach the flower stems and foliage together using glossy accents to create the bouquet
- Attach the flowers and vase to the card base using pieces of mounting tape.
- Finish by attaching two butterflies from the Small Butterflies set using glossy accents.
I am attaching two videos that I made last year showing all the steps for how I made today’s floral bouquet. Watch the first video below to see “How to Make Paper Flowers Step by Step” and the second video to see “How to Make a Paper Flower Bouquet”.
I would like to invite you to check out this Flower Bouquet Link to see several other variations of bouquets using different flowers, foliage and different backgrounds.

Do you have a list of spring flower cards to make this year? Are you choosing your designs for specific occasions? I try to design card ideas that can be adapted for different card-sending reasons and I think this card fits that bill!
Absolutely beautiful Kittie!!! You are the best at creating such beauty with dies!
So beautiful Kittie. I am so proud of you. You are doing a great job with Rubbernecker….designing, and creating amazing cards. So happy that we finally got to meet in person at the Expo in Chantilly. Hugs
Love the little pot of flowers, so sweet!
Beautiful spring flower pot! I am so happy that you reposted the flower shaping videos! I finally got on the Kittie bandwagon and got a stashfull of dies at the Mesa rubberstamp show today. I must remember to make a list before I go to the November show. Thank you for all the time that you put into making your videos and instructions. You are such a blessing.
