New dies from Rubbernecker make creating this handmade card for wine lovers a snap!
I am getting a real kick out of the thoughtful details in the die set I used on this handmade card for wine lovers – the liquid for the glass, the banding on the bottle and those little grapes and leaves really elevate the look of this ensemble. I set the scene made with the new Wine Glass and Bottle set on the new Decorative Rectangle along with the Rectangle Combo OPC #3 and Birthday Celebration Clear Set with a retired oval to make the opening in the frame.

Wine Lovers Card Base and Frame
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and the Decorative Rectangle.
- Use burgundy cardstock to cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer and attach it to the card base using ATG adhesive.
- Place the decorative layer on the cutting platform, line up the oval die, secure in place and cut the frame opening.
- Cut a white layer to fit behind the frame and trim to fit.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach the back white layer.
- Cut the small oval layer using white cardstock.
- Secure the small oval layer and sentiment in the MISTI, apply VersaMark and stamp. Pro Tip. Be sure to dust the oval layer with an anti static pouch to control the embossing powder sticking anywhere other than the sentiment.
- Apply gold embossing powder to the sentiment and heat. Pro Tip: Using super fine powder for fine images like sentiments will create a more crisp result.
- Set the sentiment layer aside.
The Wine Glass and Bottle
- Cut the wine glass and bottle base using burgundy cardstock.
- Apply glossy accents to the front edge of the back glass section and attach it to the glass frame.
- Use metallic gold cardstock to cut the bottle top and trim piece and attach to the bottle base using glossy accents.
- Cut the label using parchment paper and attach to the bottle using glossy accents.
- Use green cardstock to cut the grape leaves and burgundy cardstock to cut the grapes.
- Place the grape sections on the molding pad and form with a medium round stylus and attach to the label using small pieces of mounting tape.
- Gently form the leaves with your fingers and attach to the grapes using glossy accents.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the wine glass and bottle and attach it to the card base.
- Finish by attaching the sentiment to the frame using a piece of mounting tape.
Pretty easy! That is one thing I really love about Rubbernecker dies – they think of so many details so all you have to do is cut and assemble! Here are the things I use today from the Rubbernecker store:
