Check out the simple steps for this fast and easy card made with die cuts that you can change up endlessly for TONS of fresh variations!
Do you ever sit sometimes and just look at different die cuts and lay them together to see what happens? This super fast and easy card made with die cuts and patterned paper – and nothing else but adhesive! – is a perfect example of how you can just put some basic elements together and create different cards depending on the die cuts you choose. I used one basic shape – the (now retired0 Off Set Circle with Stitch) over a contrasting color strip with a touch of texture to anchor the focal element. You can use any shape that speaks to you – ovals, rectangles, pennants, etc.
Then I added a very uncomplicated yet prettily detailed sprig with flowers using the Brass and Bliss Open Greenery #1 and Small Flowers #5 dies. I added a greeting with their Wishes Word with Shadow die set and set the whole thing over a page from their Delightful Dahlia 6×6 Paper Pad. I coordinated the colors to the paper which lets the tiny details in the leaves and the style of the font of the word die cut really stand out.
Let me share with you the easy steps and you will see how you can swap in all your favorite patterns, colors and designs to create loads of different looks using this one idea as your creative jumping off point.
Card Base
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer of designer paper from the Delightful Dahlia 6×6 Paper Pad and attach it to the card base using double stick tape.
- Use burgundy cardstock to cut a 5.50″ x 1.50″ strip and run it through a straight crimper. Pro Tip: Using the old school crimper adds dimension and interest to a simple card.
- Apply double stick tape to the back of the crimped strip and attach it to the card base.
- Use white cardstock to cut the Offset Circle, attach strips of mounting tape and attach it to the card base.
Die Cut Greenery, Flowers and Wishes Sentiment
- Use green cardstock to cut the Open Greenery #1 and burgundy cardstock to cut the Small Flowers #5. Pro tip: Coordinating the colors to your choice of patterned paper creates a limited color scheme which will let any details you choose really pop.
- Apply glossy accents to the green stem and attach it to the offset circle. Pro Tip: I only applied the glossy accents to the stem because I wanted the leaves to be free to stand away from the background.
- Place the small flowers face up on the molding pad and use a small tipped stylus to push down in the centers.
- Attach the larger flower sections to the greenery using glossy accents.
- Place the smaller flowers in the center of the larger ones and attach using glossy accents.
- Attach tiny white circles to the flower centers using glossy accents. Pro Tip: I save all the negative circles from cutting eyelet dies to use for flower centers, falling snowflakes, etc.
- Use white and burgundy cardstock to cut the Wishes Word sections.
- Apply connect glue to the back of the wishes word and attach it to the white shadow section.
- Apply small pieces of mounting tape to the back of the shadow and attach it to the card base.

I want to place an order. I have ordered before but now I cannot make it happen. I have no more time to keep entering everything you need. I am sorry it isn’t working out.
Simple and elegant. Love the 2 colors together. TFS
