Create a die-cut autumn leaf wreath card using the Brass and Bliss Twig Wreath with Leaves and Nested Tag. Perfect for the season!
I am in love with this die cut Autumn leaf wreath new Twig Wreath with Leaves set. I love the size of the leaves and had lots of fun coloring them. This wreath base can also be used for holiday cards with evergreen and poinsettias, and with flowers and foliage for any season. The possibilities are endless.
For this card I used the Brass and Bliss Twig Wreath with Leaves, Wood Plank Panel, Nested Tag, Half Tree and Fall Happiness Stamp and Die Bundle.
I took several step by step photos to show how I doubled the wreath base to make it more substantial and how I colored the leaves.
Cut two wreath bases and color them using a wet baby wipe and heat dry. Pro Tip: This is a fast and easy technique to apply color.
Apply tiny pop dots to the back of one wreath base and attach it to the second base. Make sure to offset one over the other a little.
Use a mini applicator or blending brush to apply green, orange and dark red ink to the leaves. Once the leaf is fully covered apply a light shade of orange over the whole leaf to blend all the colors together.
Brighten up the colors of the leaves by applying VersaMark and clear embossing powder and heat. Look how this techniques brightens the colors.
Create the die cut Autumn leaf wreath by attaching the leaves to the wreath base using glossy accents. Continue to overlap and attach as many leaves as you desire to complete the arrangement. Attach a few branches from the Half Tree for a realistic look.
Apply the sentiment tag to the card base and finish by attaching a pretty multiloop bow to the wreath. Check out my Multi Loop Bow Video to see how to create a bow like this.
Here are the products used to make this card. Have you had time to check out all of the new products in the Brass and Bliss November release? They will be 25% off until December first.
