Make a die cut arbor card with a beautiful flower garden and butterflies using products by Brass and Bliss.
I love making cards with flowers and I think the arbor with the blue sky background work together to create a perfect scene. To make this card I used the Brass and Bliss Stacked Arches, Classic Tabbed Grass, Large Ivy, Sunlit Blossoms, Build a Bloom Clematis, Large Garden Fence, Tropical Birds and Leaves (foliage) Spring Garden Starter and Small Butterflies.
Arbor and Gate Base
I love the new Stacked Arches set and loved using it to make the wide die cut arbor. Adding the fence section created a perfect base for my arbor with flowers scene.
- Create the sky background on an white A2 base using a cloud template with Whisper ink and a large blending brush.
- Use white cardstock cut the arbor and fence section and attach them together using Nuvo glue.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the top back section of the arbor and the fence knobs.
- Adhere double stick tape to the bottom back section of the gate and arbor and then attach them to the card base. Pro Tip: I attach the bottom of the sections flat to create less bulk for the popped up grass section.
- Cut the grass section, apply a strip of mounting tape to the back and attach it to the card base.
Garden Flower Arrangement
- Cut the different flower sections using bright colors of cardstock.
- Apply touches of Orchid ink to the large flower sections and form them using a large round stylus and molding pad.
- Attach the large flower sections together using Nuvo glue and set them aside.
- Form the smaller flowers using a small tipped stylus and mounting pad and set them aside.
- Cut the foliage sections using green cardstock.
- Create a foliage base using several sections of the large ivy and attach them to the die cut arbor and fence.
- Apply Nuvo glue to the back of the large flowers and attach them to the ivy.
- Attach tiny yellow flowers to the large flower centers.
- Attach the small flowers to the ivy using Nuvo glue.
- Adhere tiny white circles to the small flower centers using Nuvo glue.
- Tuck a few of the fern sections under the arrangement to soften the edges.
- Cut and attach the yellow butterflies to the scene with touches of Nuvo glue.

I went a little overboard adding flowers to the die cut arbor but I really love how it turned out. Have you been inspired to pull out an arbor set or nested arched set?

So glad you went “over board” with the flowers – this card is so fresh and beautiful!
so lovely, I have an arbor I haven’t used in years, thanks for the inspiration to get it out again!
