Come see how to make a fast and easy die cut card design for Christmas using the new Brass and Bliss Merry Christmas Deer Cover.
If you have a long Christmas card list you may want to think about using an easy die cut cover that can be layered over any colorful background. I’m sharing two cards that show off a whimsical and a simple elegant design. For these cards I used the Merry Christmas Deer Cover paired with the Winter Minis and Greenery #1 sets.
Assemble the Card
- Choose a background for the card and attach it to the base using double stick tape.
- Cut the cover die using white cardstock and cut the Merry Christmas using colored cardstock to match.
- Apply a strip of double stick take to the back of letter sections making sure to leave the backing tape in plate.
- Insert the letters in the opening and they will be held in place with the tape. Pro Tip: For the second card I left the white letters in place, attached them with a strip of double stick tape on the back to hold them in place and then attached the blue letters over top using glue to create more definition.
Add Visual Interest
- Add a tiny sparkly star to a tree top and foliage to the deer necks to add festive touches to the first card.
- Create snowy dimensional interest to the second card by using a embossing folder. Pro Tip: You could also create a snowy background using a Falling Snow Stencil and embossing paste.
