Have fun making a greenery wreath card using pretty flowers that can be used for so many occasions.
I have loved making wreath cards over the years with spring, summer, fall and Christmas themes. They can be made with flowers and different kinds of foliage. You can see many different examples in my Wreath Category.
For todays card I used the Nested Frame #1, Greenery Wreath with Flowers, Mixable Flower Stack, Spring Greenery #4.
Card Base and Nested Layers
- Use white cardstock to cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ card base and the smaller nested layer.
- Use an embossing folder to add dimension to the white layer. I used a retired Stampin’ Up! folder.
- Cut the larger layer using any color of cardstock of your choice.
- Apply Nuvo glue to the back of the white layer and attach it to the purple layer.
- Attach the two layers to the card base using Nuvo glue.
Greenery Wreath
- Cut three wreath sections.
- Attach each layer together with glue and offset to fill in the wreath.
- Use glossy accents to attach the wreath to the card base. Pro Tip: I use glossy accents rather than Nuvo when attaching large pieces.
- Cut several sections of the spring greenery and set aside.
Flowers and Greenery
- Cut two sections of each large flower layers.
- Place them face down on the molding pad and gently roll a large stylus over each petal.
- Turn the sections face up and attach them together using glossy accents.
- Apply a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the flower and attach it to the wreath.
- Tuck several of the greenery sections under the large flower using glossy accents to add a bit of softness.
- Cut several small flowers, place them face down on the molding pad and gently roll a tiny stylus over each petal.
- Attach the small flowers to the wreath and greenery branches using glossy accents.
- Apply yellow centers to the flowers and attach using Nuvo glue. Pro Tip: I save all the negative circles left from cutting an eyelet die. It’s a nice way to use leftovers and doesn’t cost anything.
Here are the Brass and Bliss products used to make this card.
