Come see how a soft blue stenciled waves creates the perfect background for a beach themed card.
Today I’m sharing this fun beach themed card with a pretty soft blue stenciled background. It is perfect to highlight all the die cut elements. I used the Brass and Bliss Crashing Waves Cover for the stencil, Beach Chairs, Beach Umbrella, Palm Trees, Beach Bag, Tiny Flowers #2, Grass #2 and Deckle Hills.
Stenciled Waves and Sand Layer
- Secure the die cut waves layer over a piece of white cardstock and apply Beachside ink using a blending brush.
- Cut the layer to 4.00″ x 5.25″ and attach it to the red card base using double stick tape or Nuvo glue.
- Cut the deckle hills layer using craft cardstock and apply light brown ink using a blender brush.
- Attach the sand layer to the card base using a strip of mounting tape.
Build the Scene
- Die cut all the elements.
- Attach the palm trees to the and assemble and attach them to the card base using pieces of mounting tape.
- Adhere tiny pieces of mounting tape to the back of the beach chair, tuck it in behind the sand layer and attach to stenciled waves card base.
- Attach the hat, beach bag and flip flops to the scene using pieces of mounting tap.
- Finish by tucking a few grass sprigs behind the sand layer abd attach using Nuvo glue.
