On The Farm

The color challenge today on Splitcoaststampers was for us to use Wild Wasabi, Barely Banana and Bayou Blue.  I thought this was the perfect opportunity for me to play with my Rubbernecker On the Farm set.  I love the face on the mother hen and that chicken coop is fun. I made this card a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".  I stamped my hen, masked and then stamped the coop behind her.  After I got both images completely colored I decided to cut out around them and pop them up over top of some great yellow and white polka dot paper.  It looked a little too plan so I painted a tree on yellow cardstock (I know…I’m crazy) thinking I would allow some of that yellow show through.  I cut it out and popped the leaf portion of the tree up with mounting tape over the paper and then popped up the scene in front of the tree.  I added my gingham ribbon even though it is really much brighter than Banana but I just had to use it.  I added the little hatching chick in the corner for an additional embellishment to this scene.  What a fun evening I have had playing with this set and who knew these colors would look so wonderful together.
