Red Sails In The Sunset

Lots of you are way too young to remember that song.  I kept singing in my head this evening as I worked on my Sketch Challenge card. I watercolored my image with Ranger Adirondack reinkers and then worked out the layout background images with Cuttlebug embossing and direct ink to paper color.  I added the little sailor knot (if you can call it that) for my embellishment.

  1. I just love to open up your blog everyday! Kittie your work is just so beautiful whether it is blue elephants or a gorgeous sunset your cards are flawless. I am intrigued by your use of the adirondack reinkers. Do you just put some on a pallet and pull from that? Do you blend with water(? not sure if that is compatible with adirondack) or just use full strength? I am going to get a reputation for asking stupid questions all the time. Thanks for being kind and answering!

  2. Kittie, I’ve been under the weather for a few days, so I haven’t had a chance to get on-line, but when I did and saw all your recent creations, I thought to myself–I’m so glad Kittie has this blog. It’s been a pleasure to get to know you a little bit, and a joy to see all your wonderful creations every day. Congratulations on all your achievements in 2007! May 2008 be just as rewarding.
    Happy New Year!
    Terri
