Anna’s Greta

The Color Challenge on SCS had a fun color combination of Pomegranate, Wasabi and Saffron. I decided to play with Anna Wight’s Greta.  I think she is go cute with her apron and wooden spoon.  I stamped Greta on watercolor paper with Black Brilliance, heat set and then watercolored with reinkers and a brush.  I used a large dry brush to brush rubbed across the pad and then applied to the ground area in a stipple motion.  I sketched little flower and stems with a saffron and green marker.  I added little white flower centers with a gel pen. I added texture to the ground with my fern stamp adding both Wasabi and Pomegranate.  I wanted to spot light my little scene with a scalloped frame cut with my Nestabilities dies.  I used my chicken wire background stamp from Rubbernecker.  I popped the frame up with mounting tape just to add a little depth.  Isn’t she cute?  Too bad I was too tired to pull out my white drape and take a formal picture of her.  This is the lazy way to photo a project and show the supplies all at once.  I’ll do better tomorrow.  Promise!!!
