The Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS today is to use ruffles. It doesn’t matter if it is a ruffle made of paper, ribbon, fabric, twill. We are just to be creative and add some type of ruffle to the project. I decided to work with Molly, one of the Little Lovin’s Kids on Rubbernecker Stamp Company. She is perfectly feminine with her arm full of roses, daisy hat and hearts on her jumper. I stamped Molly with Brilliance Black Graphite on watercolor paper and watercolored her with a brush and reinkers. I used a versa marker on the flowers, hair, stems and heart and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder to add sparkle. I matched Molly’s colors to a piece of Debbie Mumm designer paper that was already full of sparkle and I didn’t want the paper to outshine cute Molly. I cute scalloped borders on white cardstock, paper pierced holes to create an eyelet look and then ran it through my paper crimper to give a ruffled eyelet effect. I have been having lots of fun lately creating scalloped eyelet to add to my projects. I think it adds such a crisp and sweet touch.
