RBC10- Rubbernecker Blogging Sketch Challenge

Today is our 10th Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge and Jeanne gave us a great sketch challenge to work with. You can find all the details for participating by going to Jeanne’s blog, Inky Paws. See the sketch below.

You can also visit the blogs of Broni, Sherry and Jeanne to find other samples.

I decided to create a quick and fun long card for my project.  I stayed home from work today with a terrible cold/sinus infection thing going on and didn’t feel like making a hard card.  I picked up my darling Debbie Mumm Noah’s Ark designer paper and thought it would be so sweet to match it with the three sweet jungle animals in the Rubbernecker Baby Collection. I stamped and masked the images on scrap watercolor paper.  I stamped an extra lion and elephant head so I could pop them up.  I painted with reinkers and cut them out to pop over a circle made from the coordinating designer paper. I cut an additional white frame to cover them and popped them over a scalloped blue border. I created the sentiment with scalloped layers as well.  I finished up both the image and sentiment layers with an Inkssentials white gel pen.  I love the dots. After assembling the complete card I took Diamond Glaze and went over all three animal images to create the shine to match the figures on the designer paper.  I love how this turned out.  Now back to more snoozing and lazing on the couch.
