The Color Challenge on SCS today was to use Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Celery. I instantly thought beach. I pulled out of my Rubbernecker Beach Party images, a fun lighthouse surrounded with stones. I stamped the lighthouse on scrap watercolor paper and restamped the rocks several times so I could could out and mount the stones on the card front for dimension. The lighthouse was cut out as well. I painted all the images with a brush and reinker. I used a small brush to add sea oat sprigs all along the cliff side and sponged on celery and brown color for the ground area. I added texture with the mini fern image. I masked off the top portion of the sky area and sponged on bayou blue for the ocean. I used a sponge dauber and cloud template to create the sky. I added little grass sprigs layer along the bottom of the card on either side of the sand walk to ground the scene. Fun project.
