Technique Lovers Challenge
I haven’t been able to stamp for a week or so as I have been really busy with work. Ugh! I got home late last night and found a new box of rubber waiting for me at the door. Ooooh! I had to pull out a new image or two and stamp something. I just needed the stress relief. Here is what I came up with. The technique challenge on SCS was to make a square spring card. Sadly, I am challenged with all the different folding techniques but thought it would be worth a try and would sure be more fun than watching TV. This is a simple little fall pumpkin patch scene that is nothing more than stamped and masked images with watercoloring. I did add a little extra green foliage with some of my Kittie Kits landscape images. Have you seen the new Fall and Halloween images at Rubbernecker Stamps?
I photographed the funny little pop up card with several of the inks that I used for this project. I wanted to take the time to talk about how vibrant all the Ranger Distress and Adirondack inks are. I paint with the reinkers of both of these ink lines and the color is fantastic and true. These inks can be washed out to very light shade of color with water and used in varying levels of ink vs. water to create perfect depth of color for shading and texture.
Ranger now has a brand new line of Adirondack pigment inks. These inks match the dye inks perfectly and make a great addition to any project as they can be used for embossing, etc. Rubbernecker Stamps is holding a 25% off sale on all the new Ranger Adirondack Pigment Pads and Reinkers. Stop in at Rubbernecker to check them out and don’t delay as the sale ends on Wednesday, August 6th.
