Vanilla Snowy Lady
The Color Challenge on SCS yesterday was to use Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Vanilla. I thought it the perfect opportunity to use Ms Mann, a delightful snow lady from the Rubbernecker Winter Holiday collection. I stamped her as well as the extra mittens on watercolor paper, painted with a watercolor brush and reinkers and cutout to pop up in front of a scene of trees. Using two different sizes of evergreen trees from the Tree Set and Kittie Kits, I stamped the trees across the base using Kiwi. I created falling snow over the whole scene by using versa with a snow image and embossed with vanilla embossing powder. Using a large brush I painted vanilla craft ink on a strip of vanilla cardstock and embossed it with vanilla embossing powder. After it cooked I ran it through a wavy crimper to add snow ridges to the strip and cut the edge out with deckle scissors. I attached Ms Mann to the card front with adhesive along her bottom but put dimensionals under her middle and upper body so she could appear popped in front of the trees. I attached the snow strip with mounting tape. I thread linen thread through each tiny mitten and tied them to the ribbon for a cute embellishment. I think Ms Mann looks like a grandmother snow lady with her little old fashioned cape and hat.

A true Kittie Winter card! I LOVE it!!!!
Lovin this one Kittie. The ground snow is perfect – I’m going to give it a go – and the diagonal ribbon and mittens add just the right touch.
This is such a “kitty card” the colors are perfect for your snowy scenes. Nobody would ever know you are a snow bird, mabe that is why you make so many snowy scenes. Just come visit Michigan for a spell and that will cure ya!
How cute! Love the mittens hanging from the ribbon!
