A Week of Projects

I have been so busy at work and by the time I get home I turn to stamping projects as a stress release.  I haven't been able to post to my blog as regularly as I would like but thought I would upload some of the fun projects I worked on.

 KC Evergreen 2

This was for a SCS challengeo use silhouette images. I used an evergreen tree form Rubbernecker stamping over and over to create a monochromatic forest scene with falling snow. I thought it was such a peaceful scene and the Peace on Earth sentiment fit it perfectly.

Stamps:  Rubbernecker Stamp Oasis Winter Holiday Collection- Tree Set

 KC Fur Trimmed Coat

This card for for the SCS limited supply challenge to only one image on the project and to only add one color to the exising white paper and black ink.  The Fur Trimmed Coat from Rubbernecker was the perfect choice.  I love this image and it reminds me of the song "Santa Baby"

Stamp:  Rubbernecker Fur Trimmed Coat

KC Maurice

This project was for the DD/DDA monthly challenge. This month the challenge was to create a one layer card. I chose to use Rubbernecker KK Original's Maurice snowman and Starlight Treasure trees and masked off with a circle cut with my Nestabilities die.

Stamps:  Rubbernecker KK Original's Maurice and Starlight Treasure

KC Scarcrow

This is a second projec that I did for DD/DDA single layer card and I combined with with the SCS Inspiration challenge.  The inspiration piece was full of brown, olive, aqua and mustard.  I thought this Scarecrow image from Rubbernecker was perfect.  Does he not look like he just popped of the screen of the Wizard of Oz?

Stamps:  Rubbernecker-Scarecrow

KC Midnight and JAck

This is Midnight and Jack from Rubbernecker. I didn't have a challenge for this card but just thought it would be fun to create a fun scene with it.  It is actually one image and I stamped twice to cut out the bow and pumpkin to pop up.

Stamps:  Rubbernecker Midnight and Jack

KC Witch on Broom Riley

Who doesn't love Riley from Hanna Stamps?  It seems that each image is cuter than the last.  I combined Riley with the Rubbernecker Spooky Tree to create a fun scene.

Stamps:  Hanna Witch Riley, Rubbernecker Spooky Tree

KC Riley with Books

The next two photos are of the same bookmark project.  TheTechnique Lover's challenge on SCS yesterday was to create a different type of bookmark.  This fits over the corner of your page to mark your spot. I thought School Riley was the perfect image for a bookmark and I added some of my Kittie Kit outdoor images and a little school house, all from Rubbernecker to create a perfect little scene.

Stamps:  Hanna School Riley, Rubbernecker Kittie Kits and Neighborhood

This second photo is showing the bookmark slipped over the page to hold the spot.

Please forgive any misspelled word in my post. The Typepad spell check was not working this morning.

  1. All of these cards are awesome! I especially can’t believe how you did so much with one layer. These are my favorites!
As for which cards I like to make the best, I think I like the fall cards because there is less stress about them. They’re just extra. Me and my friends tend to obsess about the “perfect” Christmas card.

My second favorite it the snowman scene, so much a “Kittie card”, just love it. The others are all spectacular as well, lovin’ the gorgeous red coat. Phew, you were one busy lady!

  14. Love your cards — particularly the Christmas tree. I love using the “fall” colours but probably Christmas cards are my favorite as I like to use metallic embossing and sparkle.
