Glittery Wendy WitchKC Wendy Witch

The Technique Lovers Challenge on SCS Monday was to use glitter to create a fun background on our project.  Needless to say I took the glitter use a little further than the background.

I stamped the Trick or Treat background image with versa on the grey layer, poured heat and stick powder on it and heated to create the heat bond for my glitter.  I then quickly poured on a heavy layer of glitter, dusted off the extra and heated again to create the bond.

I stamped Wendy Witch with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I stamped the cat with black pigment ink and then painted black pigment ink within the lines of the cat and embossed with black embossing powder.

I used a watercolor brush and reinkers to paint Wendy using fun Halloween colors, purple, grey, black, and orange. After completing the painting I used a versa marker to fill in her hat, orange spots on dress, treat bag, socks and used the heat and stick powder and heat gun to create the bond for adding glitter.  I also ran a versa pad around the background layer for Wendy and created a glittery border.  Whew…this project is full of sparkle. If a little glitter is good then lots of it must be wonderful. I wish I could tell you how much glitter I had on my face and hands when I got finished.
