World Card Making Day All Day Challenge Event

Card MakingSplitcoaststampers celebrated World Card Making Day Saturday, October 4th by holding an all day challenge event.  I have to admit it was perfect timing for me asI have been in a long stamping slump. I find so much joy in the SCS challenges and having an all day event was just the "ticket" to get me out of my slump. Here is a link to the Master List of challenges. What a fun day I had trying to keep up as each new challenge was posted. I actually wasn't totally able to but finished the ones I couldn't complete on Sunday. To top it off I was also able to participate in the regular Sunday Featured Stamper challenge as well and I think this may be an all time record amount of cards for me to be completed in such a short period of time. I feel so re-energized.  Woo Hoo!Way Too Happy I recorded a complete description of how I created each of these projects on my SCS gallery uploads.

KC Santa Chimney Riley

This card was made for the Sketch Challenge. I am so in love with the Riley images by Hanna Stamps . This guy is cute doing anything but I especially loved him in the role of Santa going down the chimney with his fake looking beard.

KC Thanks Snow Much 4

This project was made for the Featured Stamper Challenge.  I love snowmen and I was inspired by SherryLC05's card theme and layout. I used a retired Stampin Up set called Thanks Snow Much.

KC Loads of Love 40

This project was made for the Inspiration Challenge.  It has been quite a long time since I was able to play with my beloved "little truck" and the fall inspiration piece just screamed out to me to use a truck load of pumpkins and fall tree and leaves.

KC Lovely as a Tree 26

This project was made for the Ways To Use It challenge and we were to create something using trees.  This is my favorite card forall the challenges and I used the Stampin Up Lovely as a Tree set.

KC Window Dressing 2

This project was made for the Limited Supply Challenge to create a simple card using no designer paper.  I used a new Stampin Up hostess set called Window Dressing.  I just love the sweet face on the little girl in the window.

KC Fishing Riley

This project was made for the Color Challenge and we were to use a light green, basic black, dark gray, and a lemon-orange combination. Lots of people turned to Halloween images for this challenge but I thought Hanna's Riley sitting in a boat fishing on a little pond would be just perfect.  Of course Riley is perfect anywhere.

KC Noteworthy 1

This project was made for the Technique Lover's Challenge to create nested flowers. This was a fun and different for me. The only stamp used was the sentiment stamp from Stampin Up retired set Noteworthy.

KC Heart Christmas Wreath

This project was made for the regular Sunday Featured Stamper challenge.  I used a Rubbernecker Stamp Oasis Pine Heart image for this simple layout.

My husband and I are on vacation this week and are staying home to do some fun things around here.  We never seem to get to any good movies and I think there are some long bike rides planned on our thirty mile long Rails to Trails West Orange Bike Trail. I am sure I will be fitting in lots of stamping time this week as well.

  1. Wow you were busy and such wonderful cards you came up with, love the beard and icicles on the first too cute, My fav has got to be the snowman, maybe because I collect them, but I love the colors and everything! Great fall scene, your trees look great I can just picture a drive in the country 🙂 Love your snowy winter scene too and the little girl peeking out the window is just too cute. Beautiful nested flower and the dimension with the leaves border! Your heart wreath is very pretty!
