Winter Pizza Box and Treasure Hunt Tuesday

Do you love Pizza?  I sure do. I was intrigued by the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoaststampers yesterday. Lynn comes up with the best new techniques for us to try.  I thought a winter or holiday themed mini pizza box seemed like the perfect idea for giving a cookie, candy, note cards, tags, embellishments or just about anything else you can think of. Every holiday season  we need just that cute little something that won't break the bank to give a co-worker, teacher, delivery person, class mates, stamp club members, etc.

KC Mittens Petite

I followed the mini pizza box tutorial provided by Jen del Muro and chose to make the smaller 3.5 x 3.5" size. I chose to work with this adorable  Mitten image found in Rubbernecker's Winter Holiday collection. There is also a Petite Mitten set as well. I used Real Red cardstock for my box and a stamped snowflakes on the top of the box and embossed with white embossing powder.  I chose two coordinating pieces of paper from Provo Holiday Slab V to embellish the box with.  I painted my mittens to match three of the main colors on the designer paper, cut them out and punched holes in each and pulled through ribbon with french knots to attach to the box top. I used dimensionals to give the mittens a popped up look. I finished the top by adding a tiny bow. I attached a ribbon around the side of the box and tied a knot to embellish the box. I think this is so darn cute.  Stamps:  Mittens set SKU: 53-04 and Snow SKU:23-04.  Ink: Adirondack Lettuce, Cloudy Blue and Aqua mixed, SU Riding Hood Red, White Craft.  Paper: Real Red, Holiday Slab V. Accessories: Grosgrain, Stickles, Brushes, Corner Punch, White Embossing powder.

Many of my samples below show just using the top two thirds of the tree.
