Harvest Scenery

KC Outdoor Master and Close to My Heart Celebration Feast

We have a basket of cards for sale at my work and keep it on the counter where patients check out.  Several of us donate our cards to raise money for our ongoing mission projects such as Harvest Food Bank, Adopt-a Family program, and Hospice of the Comforter. One of our patients came in one day and asked who made the cards and was directed to me.  She is a Close to my Heart demonstrator and wanted to know if I would be interested in a catalog. Needless to say I got one and soon ordered Celebration Feast. The set contains five individual children that are all darling and I knew would be fun to put into scenes.

I used the same technique for both cards.  I stamped the images on watercolor paper with Brilliance Black and watercolored with a brush, water and reinker.  I used sponges to create the ground area and then filled in grass sprigs with an image from my Kittie Kits Outdoor Master. I sketched the fence and trees with an artist pen and used a leaf image for the trees.

I am so impressed with the quality of the Close to my Heart acrylic stamps and images. The packaging for their sets is the most organized and functional  of any stamps I have ever purchased.  If you get a chance you should check out a catalog.

  1. Oh Kittie, those images are the most darling I’ve seen. I’ll definitely have to check out their catalog. Your scenes are so touching, they make me feel like I’ve stepped back in time.
