The Friday Limited Supply Challenge on SCS's was to create a project using only snow or snowflake stamps, it had to be monochromatic, we could use only a one word sentiment and we were to use lots of sparkle or bling. Sadly, it is very hard to get sparkle to show up well in photos. It may just be the problem of this particular photographer.
I masked off the snowy bottom portion of a piece of glossy white paper stamped falling snow with white craft ink in the sky area and embossed with white embossing powder. Keeping the mask in place I used an Inkssentials Blending Tool (I love this tool) to apply blue to the sky area. I was going to let the white snow area of the glossy paper show on it's own but couldn't resist painting on white craft ink with a big brush and embossing with white embossing powder. I used a Rubbernecker snowflake image for the snow image on the blue card base and the falling snow is Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Backgrounds. Ipunched out the snowflakes using the Cuttlebug Snowflake die, attached them to the simple little scene and applied Diamond Glaze and Dazzling Diamond Glitter. I just had to add one of the little stars from the die punch to the sky with added sparkle. I put a rim of glitter around the sentiment as well.
This close up gives you a better idea of how sparkly the glitter is. I created a multi loop bow to finish this project. If you are interested in seeing a You Tube tutorial on how to make this blow check out the Friday Focus on the Rubbernecker Stamp Company Blog.
