Honoring “Her Royal Rubberness”

I couldn’t have been happier to see that Julie Ebersole- aka JulieHRR is our featured artist for today’s Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoastampers. I love Julie’s clean and simple style and yet it is not a style that I am very good with.  No matter how hard I try I always seem to keep adding more paint, more embellishments and moving away from the clean style.  I did try my best  to keep it simple today in honor of “Her Royal Rubberness”.  Here is a link to Julie’s card that inspired me.

KC Good Times 3 I chose to work with two of Anna Wight’s sets together-Good Times and Sweet Expressions. I stamped the cupcakes on white cardstock and masked. I then stamped the cups and saucers to create a sweet invitation to get together.  I water colored the images with reinkers and added a touch of white whipped cream with a white Sharpie marker.  I used Nestabilities dies to cut the oval layers as well as the tiny square napkins.  I used a large needle to paper pierce the eyelet trim.

I used the Stampin’ Up! scalloped border punch to create the border on the main card and punched holes in it with a hand 1/8” circle punch. I layered my designer paper over Tempting Turquoise and attached it to the card front. I used Regal Rose grosgrain to embellish the card by attaching around both the front and back of the card. I attached the oval image layer with mounting tape, attached the little darling napkins and finished off with the muli loop bow.  see ribbon tying tutoral

KC Good Times 3 Close Up I just loved the look of those tiny little eyelet trimmed napkins created with two different sized scalloped Nestabilities. I had to give you a closer look.  I hope I came close to living up to Julie’s wonderful clean and simple style.
