Don’t Forget!! Pink Elephants

The SCS Sketch Challenge this week was fun. There were several layers on the layout so I pulled out some fun coordinating Designer Paper with lots of pink and green to work with. I turned to Rubbernecker’s newly released Animal Inchies and found the sweet elephant with it’s “Don’t Forget” sentiment and came up with a pink elephant herd scene with one “little reminder” string tied around one trunk.

I cut my designer papers pieces and layers according to the sketch.  I used a marker to color the elephant stamp and stamped three on the main scene layer and several on a piece of scrap paper to cut out and pop up. I masked all three of the images and stamped foliage, sponged on the grass and added texture using a grass sprig and mini fern image.  Two of the elephants are totally popped up and all five of them have popped up heads.  I love how the little ears and trunk add dimension to the scene. I couldn’t resist tying one single string bow to fit around the front elephant’s trunk. I colored the sentiment part of the stamp with the marker to create the little tag. This was a fun and easy project with just a bit of cutting for those tiny, little heads.  It was well worth the effort as I think this is so sweet and fresh looking.
