Sherry is hosting Wacky Wednesday today and has challenged us to use machine, hand or faux stitching on our project. You can check out all the challenge details on the Rubbernecker Blog. Today the Red-Hot Mommas have all created previews/ sneak peaks of new sets that will be released tomorrow. There will be another Blog Stroll tomorrow and 5 readers will have a chance to win any of the newest Rubbernecker Releases over the last couple of months. You’ll need to start at the Rubbernecker Blog tomorrow and follow the clues along the way. You won’t be sorry!
I hate to admit that I own two sewing machines and have only sewed on a card one time. I actually set one of my machines up on my counter for easy access and kept it there for months and still never used it. So……..my project today was created using faux stitching and previews tomorrow’s release of Spring Inchies 427. I punched an eyelet border on the vanilla card base with my SU eyelet punch and applied a faux stitch line along the top of the eyelet border using a large needle and piercing template. I chose not to apply the stitching so that line would match the holes of the eyelet. I stamped, painted and cut out my three different flower images and applied brads to the center of each flower. I cut three 1” squares of vanilla and 1.25” Prism Papaya Puree Medium to use as layers for my flowers. I used the large needle and piercing template to create the faux stitch holes around the vanilla layers and used an Apricot marker to draw the stitching. I attached the flowers to their accompanying layers and attached them to the card base. The finishing touch for my project was to apply the perfectly matching May Arts multi loop gingham bow.
Be sure and check out the Rubbernecker Blog Stroll tomorrow and to not only see all the new releases but to participate in the stroll and have a chance win some wonderful new sets.

I love that bow with these flowers!! AND that cute bottom edge!! Such a cute card!!
What a lovely card you’ve created Kittie! I adore the way you allow the piercings and lace punch speak for themselves. Your ribbon is gorgeous with the three yellow focal squares.
Fantastic, Kittie! I love your faux stitching on the little inchies and that ribbon is absolutely perfect!! (I own 2 machines too and rarely think to sew on my cards!! So you’re not alone!!)
