Little Chicken Srapling

Before I get into my blog post I wanted to draw your attention to my Stamp and Accessory Sale. I have already had great success with sales but there is still lots of good stuff there to check out.

Have you ever heard of a scrapling?  I hadn’t really until today.  The Limited Supply Challenge on SCS today was to make a little something out of scraplings.  A scrapling is the little end of cardstock cut off when creating a card other than the normal 5.5 x 4.25” size.  Who knew???!!!  Anyway, the challenge today was to make a tiny project out of the scrap paper and I had fun creating a little chicken scene and will use it as a bookmark. My project is a folded 8” x 1.5” piece of cardstock. My chicken and chick image from my Kittie Kits Chicken Coop set was almost the perfect size.  I did stamp a second momma chicken and pop her up and allowed her tail to go outside of the main card layer.  I like it.

I stamped the image, painted and sponged on grass.  I sponged on a little blue sky and that was about it.  I cut out the second momma image, cut her out and popped up for a little added dimension.
