Home for the Holidays

I set a reminder on my Outlook calendar to remind me to check out the new Papertrey Home Made set and template that is being released today. When I went in to see it I realized that some of the pieces of the Boards and Beams and Home for the Holidays sets would work with them as well.  That reminded me that I haven’t played with either of those sets for a long time so I pulled them out to use for the SCS Featured Stamper challenge today.  Dawn Easton (TreasureOiler) is our inspiration artist and here is a link to the project that inspired me.KC Boards and Beams and Home for the Holidays 2

I stamped the trees on the left side of the watercolor paper, masked them and stamped the house.  I masked the house and stamped trees on the right side.  I painted the house with reinkers and stamped the wreaths on the door and windows.  Sad that I couldn’t line them up evenly.  Duh!  I stamped the roof line with the snow border images and then added white craft ink along the roof top, window sills and ground area and embossed with white embossing powder.  I sponged the sky with blue and added a little cut out snowman to the front yard.  I assembled the card and added a multi loop bow. I finished by adding a touch of glue and white Flower Soft to the ground area.

Have a great week!

  2. As always, you do the most wonderful winter scenes. This is no exception Kittie! A very beautiful card and your bow is absolutely perfect. The little snowman is so adorable in the front yard. I always wanted to build a snowman on Christmas day. It ain’t happenin’ here LOL! Guess if I want that snowman, I’ll have to make a trip up north.

  4. I love it ALL, Kittie! After spotting it on SCS … I knew I had to ‘find’ it here. This is very reminiscent of my MIL’s house .. where DH was raised. She even has a variety of evergreen trees along the back .. it’s such a wonderful scene, Kittie!
