Fun and Relaxing Stamping

I have had a restful and relaxing weekend. I enjoyed being off work and getting to play in a few challenges. It is really cold here in Florida so staying in was the best thing.  I went to Costco yesterday and had to get ice off the windshield. It is supposed to get down to 24 degrees tonight and that is very, very cold for us.

The Limited Supply challenge was to use red, black and white.  I thought this little pair of Down Hill Racers from the Rubbernecker North Pole collection would be perfect to use.  The whole scene could be all black and white and the scarves are the only pop of red.

I had fun creating this little Chicken Coop scene for the Inspiration Challenge.  I was inspired by One Fine Doodledoo. I created a green background with sponges and stamped the fence and then added grass sprigs from my Outdoor Master. I stamped the rooster and coop on scratch paper painted and cut out to pop up.

The Featured Stamper challenge featured WeeBeeStampin (Wendy) as our featured designer.  I found lots of inspiration in her gallery and came up with two fun projects for the challenge.

  1. Oh Kittie, I love your work – this card with the mail box is darling – love how you put the envelopes outside the box too, and the hearts. That WANTED is darling – you seem to always have a way of using that stamp set. And then your scenery cards, the downhill racer is darling – and of course that chicken coup. You are so well talented in making scenery cards and I always love each and every one of them. TFS
