Stampavie has over sixty new images to show at CHA next week. Our design team has had lots of fun over the past few weeks preparing projects to send with Stuart and Heidi. The team is going to do 40 days of CHA samples and I am excited to show my Tina Wenke projects.
My first project is called “Rabbit in Watering Can”.
Here is a close up view so you can see how the rabbit is tucked into the flowers.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper a couple of times, painted and cut out. I mounted the image on plain white cardstock and then popped up flower blossoms for added dimension.
My second project is called “Easter Parade”.
Here is a closer view.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper, painted and cut out. I created a little grass and sky scene on plain white cardstock and popped the image up on mounting tape. I love to add dimension.
My third project is called “Wish Upon a Star”.
I stamped this adorable image on watercolor paper and created the blue sky with a brush and reinkers. I stamped the animal images a second time on scrap paper, painted and cut out to pop up. I love the light blue and how it contrasts with the pale yellow of the stars and the bright green of the blanket and grass.
Here is a closer view.
Weekend Challenges
I had fun playing in the Inspiration challenge on Saturday and enjoyed using this Rubbernecker Daisies image from the Bold Florals collection. I stamped the image on watercolor paper with versa and embossed with gold embossing powder. I painted the flowers with a brush and reinkers. I love the garden trellis feel of the white border.
Sunday’s Featured Stamper Challenge honored Anne Harmon-jdmommy. Anne loves red and I had great fun time creating two very different projects using her favorite color.
My first is a “blast from the past” using Rubbernecker’s Fabulous Fifty’s images. Well…don’t pay too much attention that the car image is actually a 1964 Mustang. It still looks good with the car hop and the old fashioned diner. All images were stamped with black craft ink on watercolor paper, watercolored with a brush and reinkers and cut out to create this fun scene.
My second project is a Stampavie Penny Johnson image called Bear Flowers. I think he is so darling carrying his bouquet of roses along the hillside path. I wish they were coming to me. The image was stamped on watercolor paper, watercolored with reinkers and cut out. The ground was created by tearing white cardstock, sponging with green and mounting with mounting tape. I love the dimension it adds. The green hill behind the image was sponged directly on the main image layer by masking off the ground area with a piece of torn paper and sponging to match the popped up ground layers. The sky was sponged using a scalloped cloud template.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
LOVE all your projects, Kittie!
