Weekend Stamping Fun

Please check out my Stamps and Accessory Sale. I have reduced prices in hopes of clearing out my stamping area.

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth? The past couple of work weeks have been busy and I went for almost two weeks without getting my fingers inky.  That sure is a long time for me.  I enjoyed lots of fun stamping time this weekend and want to share my projects.

KC Gillian Roberts Being Together

I created this darling little fence scene for the Stampavie Design Team Blog Challenge to create a project using our favorite colors.  I love red and olive green and use that color combination frequently.  I thought it was a perfect color combination to use with Stampavie Gillian Roberts Being Together image. The image actually has an open sided fence but I stamped the fence section a few times and cut out  to create a full fence section for my scene.  I stamped and painted the complete image and cut out to pop up over my pasture scene.  I sketched in the fence and tree in the distance and sponged in the green grass with a sponge and added texture with my mini fern stamp from my Kittie Kits Outdoor Master. I sponged in the sky area using my retired Stampin’ Up cloud template.  I thought the red gingham was the perfect finishing touch.

KC Floral Silhouettes 7

The Sunday SCS Featured Stamper challenge featured my friend and fellow Rubbernecker design team mate Cathleen Torina aka ctorina. Cathleen has a gorgeous and elegant stamping style that I find so inspiring and intimidating but I took the challenge and came up with this project.  I created my flower with several graduated sizes of scalloped circles cut with Nestabilities from designer paper. I created the label with a Spellbinders label die and stamped it using one of the new Floral images at Rubbernecker and added the tiny butterflies.  I used  pearls to embellish the butterflies and the flower center.  This style is way out of my comfort zone but I enjoyed the challenge and am fairly pleased with the outcome.  Check out the Spellbinders sale Rubbernecker Stamps but you better hurry because it is ending today.

KC Day at the Beach 3

I love the little racing sailboats out on the ocean in this project from the Kittie Kits Day at the Beach.  I wanted there to be contrast with all the red and blue in the boats, cloud and water so left the sky perfectly crisp white.  I thought the red and white striped ribbon was the perfect embellishment for this nautical project.

KC Get Well 2

Finally, I have a little quick and easy get well card from the Rubbernecker Get Well collection with nurse bear serving up her chicken soup accompanied with her little bottle of medicine.  She would make anyone feel better.

I hope you enjoy your week and hope you can find time for some fun stamping!!

  5. These are wonderful cards Kittie! I love the yellow one most. The pearls make it really elegant. I’ve always wanted to try my hands on papercrafting, but haven’t found the time. I guess I’ll just be looking around. Here’s another papercrafting site I frequent: http://www.papercraftsmag.com. You might want to check it out.
