I don’t usually try clean and simple card designs as I usually get too busy adding scenery or other stuff. I checked the Monday CAS challenge while I was on my lunch break and knew I had to play as soon as I got home. The challenge was to use either gingham or checks. I love all gingham but none more than red and white and especially on Christmas cards. Tie it in a bow, add some punched greenery, a punched bird and layer over a pure white background and you get a quick, clean and simple holiday greeting. No stamps necessary!!!. Check out my multi loop bow tutorial for instructions on how I make my bows.
I have another card to share that I made a few days ago. It is a precious Stampavie snowman couple called Snow Cuddles by Penny Johnson. I thought the mostly white snow couple looked great layered over the dark BasicGrey Jovial designer paper. I love the little touch of Polar White Flower Soft at their feet.
Have you started your holiday cards yet? Time is marching by!

The wreath card sure drew the attention yesterday and for good reason-Beautiful.
Like the flower soft for the snow-neat card.
I love your red bird card. Very pretty!
Both cards are fabulous Kittie, but that first one just steals my heart! Love the greenery with the bird and that fabulous gingham ribbon . . . perfectly amazing girl!
I just love the greenery in with the ribbon, so pretty and your snowpeople are too cute!
No I haven’t started my christmas cards, I have a feeling I am going to be doing some crazy long days of cardmaking to get them all done!
What beautiful Christmasn cards, Kittie…the wreath card with the little bird is sooo pretty and I just love the little snowman pair!!!
Amazing cards. I love your wreath. Oh, and thanks for the reminder about Christmas cards. I at least have mine designed…does that count? LOL
Kittie, I love your gingham & wreath card so much that I have CASEd it, lol! Of course, mine doesn’t look near as awesome as yours but I’m pleased with it. I didn’t have red gingham ribbon so I went with red satin, which turned out to be a good choice. I also added Stickles onto the tips of my wreath. If I can get up the nerve to post it on SCS, I will definitely give all the credit to you, lol! Thanks for the inspiration…
Kittie, I love your cards, especially love the red bird card and I have to admit I tried my hand at casing it! I could not pull it off as beautifully as you did! Thanks for the inspiration!
HUGS!
