Happy Monday morning! I have so many fun stamps that seem to get pushed a side and neglected due to new stamps crowding ahead of them. It seems we crafters are always looking for the next new release, the next new punch or embossing folder. No wonder the crafting industry is making tons of money. I finally got to play in the Splitcoaststampers Sunday challenge yesterday evening and was drawn to make something with one of my older sets. I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! 2002 Spring Gifts. I love the simple little bunnies in the set. Make note that although I used an older set I paired the images with a brand new Sizzix embossing folder. LOL!!!
I stamped the gardening bunnies on watercolor paper, painted and cut out. I created a little background scene by sketching in a tree trunk and sponging in the tree top and grassy area. I filled in grassy texture with my mini fern stamp from my Outdoor Master. I cut the frame opening on my front layer with a Nestabilities die and then embossed with the Sizzix folder. I attached the frame with mounting tape and then created a tiny garden flower patch for embellishment. The tiny flowers are made with 3/8” punched circles and were formed by lightly rolling a stylus in a circle motion over the circle while laying on my soft piercing mat. The flowers and greenery were attached using Matte Accent. I added Liquid Pearl to the flower centers.
I hope you have a great week.

Kittie, can you explain the easiest way to create the double frames you’ve used to such good effect? I love the look of the frame on frame, but never seem to get them lined up properly. There must be a trick that I’m missing!
I made three of your wreaths this weekend for birthdays and anniversary cards. I love to make them almost as much as my friends love to receive them. And, I give you all the credit!

Those bunnies are so cute… before my papercrafting hobby, so they are new to me! LOL!! As always, I love your flower decoration. And I love how you make your scenery… trees, etc. I wish I was that artistic!
Cute scene with the bunnies. Great coloring and really like the embossed frame.
Gorgeous scene! And those bunnies are so sweet.
I was wondering what the name of the new Sizzix folder is? It looks gorgeous!
that is such a cute embossing folder to frame your image, as always lovely greenery too!
Gorgeous Easter scene. I love your coloring and shading of the tree. I can feel spring is in the air … lol.
