Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty Challenges

Today starts the annual Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty (DTGD) week of challenges. You will definitely want to check out what the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen Alumni team members have in store. Not a member yet? Click here for more information on how you can join. You won’t want to miss out on all the fun.

The project I’m sharing with you today was made for Jeanne’s challenge. I had lots of fun creating this sweet winter birdhouse card.  I love all the touches of wintery snow.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper, colored with reinkers and a brush and cut out. I painted the snowy roof of the birdhouse with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I embellished the evergreen with embossed snowy spots as well. Finally I lightly touched adhesive on the snowy spots and applied alight dusting of flower soft. I mounted the image inside the frame layered over dotted embossed cardstock. I created the punched evergreen garland with little red and white sparkly punched flowers and a red bow and finished by adding a dusting of flower soft.
