Fall Harvest

I sure had a nice long three day weekend but now it’s time to go back to work.  The saving grace is that it will only be a four day work week. I have another fall card to share  with you today that is similar to my blog banner using images from the new Kittie Kits Fall Harvest set at Rubbernecker. In my post yesterday I used the tree image with no leaves for a snowy winter scene.  This time I used the leaf image in the set to create a tree bursting with fall colors.

I stamped the tree on white cardstock and painted with reinkers.  I sponged in the sky area using an ink blending tool and hand cut cloud template.  I sponged in the green grass area and then stamped over it using rust ink with the mini fern image from my Outdoor Master.  I stamped six leaf images, painted, cut out and attached them to the tree for added dimension. I stamped several pumpkin images, painted and cut out. I layered one set of pumpkins at the base of the tree.  I stamped the fruit stand on watercolor paper, painted and cut out with my craft knife and then attached it in front of the tree.  I stamped all the additional images, painted, cut out and attached to the base of the fruit stand. I created the texture on the green base card by inking up a baggie of dried rice and pouncing it on the paper.  I love the undefined pattern the rice bag creates.  I thought this country scene could easily stand on it’s own with no additional embellishments.  The rough cut deckled edge seemed to be finished perfectly layered over the orange distressed layer.

Here’s a couple other views.

I hope you have a great week and that you have time to get your fingers a little inky.  Thanks for taking time to stop by.
