Good Saturday morning! You may think I fell off the face of the earth since it has been almost a week since I posted last but I am still here. Monday was the first day of bringing up a new computer system where I work and the week was long and stressful. I think I'm getting too old to make big changes. LOL ! Anyway, I was too tired to stamp when I got home each night and fell on the couch with my husband to veg out in front of the TV. I hate to admit that I went to bed at 8:15 last night because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. Sadly this morning my eyes opened at 4:30 a.m. and wouldn't close again so I turned on the coffee pot and started browsing Splitcoaststampers for the Inspiration Challenge. Pomegranate Inc is the inspiration site for today's challenge and I was inspired by a pink and green flowered fabric print. I was in the mood to make a winter card using my Tina Wenke Jane Skating image so I used the colors in the inspiration fabric for her little winter outfit.
I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored using Letraset Promarkers. I am not experienced coloring with alcohol markers but I had a good time trying my hand using them again. The blending does not come as easy to me as watercoloring with reinkers but I think I could get more comfortable with practice. I cut the image out to pop up in the frame over the embossed background. I created the snowflake with Spellbinders Create a Flake 1 and layered it over the punched pine foliage. I couldn't resist adding sparkle to the project with stickles. Isn't she a sweet happy looking little skater?
I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day holiday weekend. I am so happy to have three straight days off. I plan on having lots of stamping fun.

Welcome back Kittie, you were missed, but I’m very happy to see you are not laid up. It is a mystery to me how much you faithful bloggers can squeeze into a day – you have my deepest respect.
Beautiful card as usual-the Swiss Dot embossing really does a fine job and your trade mark framing is the real ‘finisher offer’!!!
