Longing For Fall

I don't know about you but I am getting pretty tired of the hot, hot  weather.  You would think now that September is here it would cool off a little here in Florida but no such luck.  I decided to chase away the heat by changing my blog banner to a scene that brings back fond memories of crisp cool fall days in West Virginia where I grew up. There is nothing more wonderful than gorgeous colorful fall leaves and country roadside stands overloaded punpkins, apples and apple cider.

The images are all included in a new Kittie Kits set called Fall Harvest releasing soon at Rubbernecker Stamps. All images were painted with reinkers and many were cut out to pop up for dimension. The top front line of the truck bed was cut with a craft knife and two sets of pumpkins were inserted.  The ground and sky areas were sponged using an ink blending tool.  The colorful fall leaf texture in the grass was stamped using the mini fern image from the Kittie Kits Outdoor Master. Here's a closer view of the truck and apple stand.

  1. Hi Kittie! Great fall scene!! We got our first taste of fall this weekend. All it makes me say is “I’m NOT ready for winter!” Thank goodness it’s going to get a little warmer again after today. I know you guys in the south have long, hot summers which I wouldn’t like, but I’m just not a fan of winter, so as much as I like making fall cards and seeing the beautiful fall colors, etc., I’m never really happy to see fall come because as fast as time goes then it’s winter before I know it.

  2. Very gorgeous! Can’t wait for the kit to be released. I’ve never ordered a kit before and look forward to putting my own signature on the art work.

  5. Beautiful Fall scene, Kittie! I,too, am tired of the hot weather only mine is in the SE desert of Arizona! Bring on cooler temps please!! I love Fall and even though I no longer live where we see the changing leaf colors I have fond memories of crisp fall days with brilliant blue skies and the glorius yellow, gold, oranges and reds of nature’s paint brushed landscape.
