Happy Friday! I am getting into the mood to make holiday cards. Have you checked out the newest release from Stampavie with all the precious holiday images and sentiments? My project today is using Tobi’s Dearest Deer from the Laurence Collection.
I created the silhouette tree background by sponging over the negative die cut of a Christmas tree. I layered it over itself several times to create the look of a forest scene. I sponged in a blue sky and then painted on ground and falling snow with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and painted with reinekrs mixed with water. I cut the image out so I could pop it up in front of the scene. I added the touch of pine to the base of the frame, attached the image and and applied Flower Soft for the snow. I love how this turned out. Don’t you love the expression on the dear’s adoring little face?
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.
Yes, that deer’s smile is sweet! Absolute darling image and coloring. I like your trees and the greenery w/flower soft snow. Nice card. 🙂 (gabalot on SCS)
Just darling, fabulous card and all the flower soft is perfect with this.
What a beautiful winter card! I loved your idea with the trees. Never heard of flower soft…have to search that one out. Thank you again for such inspiritation!!! Mike B.
Beautiful card!! I really love how you did the trees in the frame and then put the focal image outside the frame. Every part of the card has such wonderful detail. Definitely another “WOW!” card!!!!
