I love bright red poinsettias at Christmas time but there is also something wonderful and enchanting about soft pink poinsettias as well. My mother’s flower shop was filled with pine wreaths during the holidays and to this day are one of my most favorite decorations. My project today pairs a small pine punched wreath filled with pink poinsettias. A clean and simple white background with a pink panel allows the wreath to be the main focal point with no additional embellishments necessary. Here is are couple other views.
I have several punched and die cut flower tutorials on my home page if you would like instructions on how I create my projects.
Paper: White, Pink, Spring Moss Ink: Shabby Shutters, Spun Sugar Accessories: Martha Stewart Pine Branch Punch, Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Set, Sponge, Stylus, Mouse Pad, Paper Piercer, Glossy Accents, Nestabilities (circle for wreath), Pearls, EK Success Border Punch, Crimper
Oh my word!! *thud* These are just gorgeous Kittie. Ok, I NEED to find those dies. I’ve never thought to make pink pointsettia’s before.
Big congrats to Theresa know she will love the die – and Kitty this is just delicious – the pink sis super – and can understand why you love flowers on cards with your childhood influence, Shaz in oz. x
What a stunning Christmas card. Those dies are on my gotta have list.
Oh Kittie – this is so gorgeous! I want a big one for my front door 🙂 I have got to make my budget grow so I can get this die and punch! I love your tutorials – they are so wonderful and easy to follow. I just need to get the tools!
Oh my that is just Amazing, I love the pinks and your wreath and flowers are Gorgeous!
Thank you so much Kittie, for inspiring us with such beautiful work. This poinsettia card is really beautiful. Congratulations Theresa for winning!!
Just beautiful!! I’m still making fall cards… have to fill an order today. But I can’t wait to try this poinsettia die! Wish I could just drop everything and play with it today. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
Kittie, this card is absolutely one of my most favs of yours! I love your tutorials as well. They are so easy to follow…I have one question however…how do you get the MS pine branch punch to work on cardstock? I had that one and it would hardly cut cardstock at all, then one day it locked up and when I finally got it to release the cutting part had broken into pieces. I sent it back to MS and they sent me a new punch but it was the Frond Punch, not the pine. I bought a McGill pine and it won’t cut cardstock either. I have tried punching aluminum foil to sharpen the blades but it will barely cut that. The only thing I can get it to cut is vellum. What is our advice?
Beautiful. I love the pink.
Kittie, this wreath is just GORGEOUS! Knock down gorgeous! You do such beautiful work! I love seeing what you make, and I also love your tutorials!!! Thank you for all the work you do in them for us!
This card just took my breath away. Now I know I just have to get that set of dies.
Just beautiful, Kittie…love the pink too!
Gorgeous as usual. LOVE IT! Keep em coming!
Hugs and blessings…Leanne
