The Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers on Tuesday was Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to create another poinsettia card using the lovely deep red.
I don’t have Crumb Cake so I substituted Sahara Sand and used it as one of the mat colors.
I love how the pine and holly add so much texture to the poinsettia. It definitely reminds me of my mother’s flower shop during the Christmas holidays.
You can check out my double matted frame and poinsettia tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I create my flowers and frames. I hope you have a great and I really appreciate you stopping by.
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Artichoke
Ink: Cranberry, Peeled Paint
Accessories: Spellbinder Poinsettia Dies, Martha Stewart Pine, Holly and PATP Punches, Stylus, Mat, Nestabilities
Definitely a gorgeous pointsettia Kittie.
Beautiful poinsettia! Every one you make is that way!
I have been so inspired by your many beautiful card designs. I can hardly wait to see what your next creation will be.
Your card is stunning, as usual. I have been having great success with my poinsettia die since I read your tutorial and I so appreciate that you shared this tutorial…it’s like you’ve given me a Christmas gift!
Gorgeous!
I love your work & was so inspired by the beautiful window displays you made I HAD to order one for myself. Is it the large or the small one you use?
Hugs, Janie
