Baskets of Hydrangeas on Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve!  I have had a wonderful time this morning creating a project for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration site this week is Urban Art Loft and I was inspired by a lovely picture of a basket full of hydrangeas.

The  Rubbernecker Create a Garden Set 1 has two baskets that I thought would be fun to fill with mini hydrangea blooms.

I created the frame using a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set and then die cut openings for the frame using Spellbinders Label one small and large dies. I attached the taller basket to the card base and popped the short basket up in front it.

I created the mini hydrangea flowers using 1/4” punched flowers.

Using a stylus I pushed each blossom down into a mouse pad to bend it up all the edges. I attached three flowers together with Glossy Accents to create the multiple blossoms of a hydrangea.

I punched out foliage using MS Branch Punch and attached it to the baskets to create a background for the flowers. I attached the flowers in place using Glossy accents.

Sadly the photos do not come close to showing how pretty and sweet these baskets full of hydrangeas really are.

I wish each of you a blessed and Merry Christmas with your family and friends.
