Thank You, Spring Window and MS Branch Punch

I enjoyed being off work yesterday and am looking forward to vacation days the rest of the week.  I made two cards to share with you. The first one was made for the Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge to make a thank you card.

KC Thank you 1 right

This started out being a plain white and gold embossed sentiment card but it grew into something totally different.  After I stamped the sentiment I decided it would look better framed, and then I decided to add a flower and foliage and the next thing I knew everything had gold embossed edges.  LOL!

The thank you sentiment was a thank you stamp included in my Papertrey order.  I thought it was perfect for the challenge.

I thought the flourishes around the sentiment would match perfectly with the fleur de lis die cut and the leafy flourish foliage.

The Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers this week was to create a project using some kind of window.  I pulled out my window die and made a simple spring window.

I wanted the colors of the foliage, flowers and drapes to pop against the all white background.

I folded the piece of cardstock in half and cut out the center with deckle scissors to form my drapes. I used my crimper to add dimension to the designer paper drapes.

I cut a second window and cut the bottom off to create a layered window box for my flowers and foliage.

  1. Thanks for the info on the MS pine punch. Picked another one up just in case I break mine again. 😉 Beautiful cards again too BTW – as usual.

  3. Your cards are so amazing and inspirational! About a week ago, Scrapbooking Warehouse was showing 164 of these MS branch punches. Now they’re sold out. I had been considering getting a third one, just in case my main one and backup both break – couldn’t deal with that! Thanks to you, I now own both sizes of the window dies.
